Welcome to Anshin

Hi! Thanks for choosing Anshin. By using our app, you agree to these terms. We've written them as clearly as possible—if anything's confusing, just reach out and we'll explain.

Important: You must be at least 18 years old to use Anshin. By creating an account, you confirm that you're 18 or older.

What Anshin Does

Anshin helps you:

  • Store important details about what matters (where things are, who to contact, what to look for)
  • Choose trusted people who can access this information if something happens to you
  • Share this information with your trusted contacts through our verified unlock process

What we don't do:

  • We don't store your passwords or give access to your accounts
  • We don't provide financial advice
  • We don't replace a will or legal estate planning
  • We don't guarantee any outcomes

Think of us as a secure notebook where you write down WHERE things are. Not the keys to access them.

Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about yourself
  • Keep your contact details up to date
  • Keep your phone secure (it's how we verify it's really you)
  • Not share your account with anyone

Your phone number is your identity on Anshin. If you change your number, update it in the app so we can reach you.

What You Can Store

What's Allowed

  • Bank account names and numbers
  • Insurance policy details
  • Investment account references
  • Property information
  • Contact details for advisors, lawyers, etc.
  • Notes about where to find documents

What's Not Allowed

  • Passwords, PINs, or login credentials — Anshin is for directions, not keys
  • Illegal content — Don't store anything that violates the law
  • Other people's private information — Without their consent

If we find prohibited content, we may remove it and potentially suspend your account.

Trusted Contacts

Trusted contacts are people you choose to receive your stored information if something happens to you. When you add someone:

  • Make sure you have their permission to add them (we'll notify them)
  • Choose people you genuinely trust
  • Keep their contact information updated

Trusted contacts must verify themselves through our app before they can access anything. They can't see your information until you pass away or become incapacitated—and even then, only after our verification process.

The Unlock Process

Your information stays private until one of your trusted contacts initiates an unlock request. Here's how it works:

Death Unlock

  1. Request: A trusted contact initiates an unlock request using dual OTP verification (both theirs and a shared code)
  2. Waiting Period: We notify you and wait 12 hours. If you're alive and receive this notification, you can reject the request immediately
  3. Documentation: The trusted contact uploads a death certificate
  4. Verification: Our team manually reviews the documents
  5. Access: If verified, they get 7 days of access to your stored information

Incapacity Unlock

  1. Request: A trusted contact initiates an incapacity request
  2. Immediate Partial Access: They immediately see only Health Insurance and Term Insurance entries (so they can help with medical decisions)
  3. Time-Limited: Access lasts 48 hours and then expires automatically

False Claims: If someone falsely claims you're dead or incapacitated, you'll receive notifications. You can reject any request from within the app. Making false claims is a violation of these terms and may result in legal action.

Subscription and Payments

Free Plan

  • Up to 3 entries
  • 1 trusted contact
  • All core features

Premium Plan

  • Unlimited entries
  • Unlimited trusted contacts
  • 1,799 per year

Payment Terms:

  • Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • Subscription refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • You can cancel anytime, and you'll keep access until the current period ends

If your premium subscription ends, you keep your data but can't add more entries beyond the free limit until you renew.

Intellectual Property

The app is ours: Anshin, including the design, code, and brand, belongs to Loopin Technologies. You can't copy, modify, or redistribute any part of it.

Your data is yours: The information you store belongs to you. We don't claim any ownership over it. You can export or delete it anytime.

Disclaimers

We want to be upfront about what Anshin can and can't do:

  • No Guarantees: We work hard to keep Anshin running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free
  • Not Legal Advice: Anshin doesn't replace a will, trust, or proper estate planning. Please consult a lawyer for legal matters
  • Not Financial Advice: We don't provide financial advice. Please consult a financial advisor for financial decisions
  • Verification Limitations: We do our best to verify unlock requests, but we rely on the documents provided to us

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loopin Technologies and its team members are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Anshin.

If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose.

Termination

We May Terminate Your Account If:

  • You violate these terms
  • You use Anshin for illegal purposes
  • You repeatedly store prohibited content
  • You make false unlock claims

We'll try to give you notice before termination, unless the violation is severe.

You Can Leave Anytime

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do:

  • Your data will be deleted within 90 days
  • Your trusted contacts will be notified
  • Any active subscriptions should be cancelled through the app store

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes:

  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice
  • We'll notify you via email and/or in-app notification
  • Continued use after the notice period means you accept the new terms
